Hire

We are pleased we have been able to keep the regular hall hire rates unchanged for 2027. However, in order to do this, we need to introduce a small winter heating charge. With energy prices continuing to rise, we believe this approach is more equitable than increasing the hall hire rate throughout the year, as it limits the additional charge to when heating is required.

Should the rates change in these volatile times, we will provide as much notice as possible and will not affect previously approved bookings.

The charge will be in effect from 1 November to 28 February and will be a fixed amount of £2.50 per booking, regardless of the booking length.

Additionally, this only applies to new bookings between 1 November and 28 February; all existing approved bookings within the period will not be charged.

Cancellation

If the Hirer wishes to cancel the booking less than 7 days before the date of the event and a replacement booking cannot be secured, then the question of payment or the refund of the hire fee shall be at the discretion of the Treasurer.

Cleaning deposit

Having an all inclusive rate does simplify our charging and slightly reduces the cost of some bookings, but that does necessitate a cleaning deposit if the commercial facilities of the kitchen are used, fully refundable if the kitchen is left clean and tidy.
